About Luís Sarmento Ferreira

Teacher since 2006 at Portuguese Catholic University where he has been colaborating with CITAR (Research Center for Science and Technology in Art) since 2005. Holds a Graduate Degree in Sound and Image, specializing in Digital Arts, by the Portuguese Catholic University.

In the first year at CITAR he was involved in Porto Virtual no séc. XVI project, a 3D reconstitution of an area of the city. Worked in Octopus, a platform for the development of non-linear games/narratives both in virtual and real space. Is now collaborating in various projects.

At the Portuguese Catholic University's School of Arts he teaches the Artistic Project (Multimedia Production) practice under the university's undergraduate program, and both the Advanced 3D Modelling and the Advanced Texturing and Lightning practices in the Master program.

Currently his interests lie on the generic field of adaptive/generative interface development in the context of artistic production.

Has a background in graphic design and webdesign in the commercial circuit where he worked since 1999 as well as artistic work with the continuous develpment of interactive pieces for expositions and for the web [see some here].
